“My little boy is trying to get me to play hockey … I’m like, ‘I’m a little bit too tired, wait till this summer.”

but this Bruins/Canadiens game might be the best game of the year.
Punches & goals scored & punches & goals scored & punches & goals scored & punches & goals scored & punches & goals scored & punches & goals scored.

Somewhere, Cam Neely is screaming, “Kick his ass, Seabass!”

Well, so much for forgetting this photo from the recesses of my mind. His eyes are undressing my very soul.
Look who’s smiling again…
Yeah, think that’s the head injury talking. “Hey guuuuuys, I fall down. Whoopsie daisy.”
In all seriousness, I really hope Marc Savard is fine. I think it’s amazing he’s about to even play hockey so soon after his concussion (I think it’s a mistake to be honest). The propensity of a player to suffer another head injury after a previous concussion is very high, and I think Boston has plenty to lose, rather than to gain. Savard should be shut down to prepare for next season. David Booth, Paul Kariya, and of course, Eric Lindros are the most recent examples of star players absolutely undone by head injuries because they played far too soon.
I’m probably being too cautious, which is a fair comment to make. I’m not a fan of the Bruins and playoff hockey is a time to go all in to win at all costs. But after seeing so many reports from both football and hockey about head trauma and the adverse affects of untreated or misdiagnosed injuries, I don’t think I’m far off in questioning this decision by Marc Savard, the Boston Bruins, and the NHL as a whole.
NHL Winter Classic hype is ramping up.
Hopefully, baseball fans will finally see what a real brawl actually looks like…not sure about a hockey game though, considering the Philadelphia Flyers are involved.
Kidding Flyers fans. Not really. Daniel Carcillo is at my door, isn’t he?
I blame Jesse Spano for this loss. Too many omens. 7-2 crushing of the Toronto Maple Leafs by the Boston Bruins. Marc Savard, Maple Leafs fan growing up, scores a hat trick for the black and gold. Of course.

Joe Mauer + Bruins = sweet.
Plus, Mikko Koivu for the Wild. Sweet.
Hey, Pam, You and Don Cherry have something in common!
(I apologize to my followers for the Savvy!spam. Blame my friends for being enablers. And, hey, at least it’s not Jake!spam.)
Anyway: this video? LMFAO FOREVER. “I love you. I’m going to stroke you.” OMFG. /dead ten times over
The amount of sexual innuendo that Don Cherry spews out from time to time always kills me. That being said, Cherry’s love for Marc Savard is genuine. He absolutely loves him. Oh, and Marc Savard’s favourite team growing up? Yup, the Toronto Maple Leafs. And he’s a free agent this offseason. Boston, better lock him up soon. You know how direct and aggressive Burke is when he sees his man.
